Hi, I'm Beatrice
BIO
My story begins in Cuba, where my family and I lived under the oppressive grip of communism. The regime’s control over every aspect of life left us with little hope for a future where we could live freely. Driven by the desire for a better life, we fled to the United States on the Freedom Flights, escaping the harsh realities of our homeland. We arrived with a sense of hope, eager to embrace the opportunities that freedom could offer.
However, as time went on, I grew increasingly concerned about the direction Chicago and the country were heading. The rise in government control and the constant increase in taxes made it clear that the principles of freedom and limited government were being eroded. This reality reminded me of the very reasons my family had fled Cuba. In 2014, I made the difficult decision to leave Chicago and move to Florida, seeking a place that valued freedom and provided a better environment for my family.
A Thriving Career
Chicago was where I built my career, raised my family, and developed a deep appreciation for the values that make America unique. Over the years, I held various leadership positions in the private sector, where I learned the importance of hard work, responsibility, and perseveranchese experiences instilled in me a strong belief in the value of individual initiative and the need to protect the freedoms that allow us to pursue our dream.
I transitioned into a new chapter of my professional life. In 2020, I became self-employed as an equity trader, a decision that allowed me to maintain control over my career and financial future. This shift gave me the flexibility to focus on what truly mattered to me—serving my community and advocating for the values I hold dear.
My Promise
My advocacy also extends to healthcare. My battle with a chronic illness has highlighted the importance of a healthcare system that prioritizes prevention and holistic well-being. I am committed to supporting initiative to help communities healthier again.
